US-based Waste to Energy Plant Operations Organization seeks Plant
Engineers for Hawaii, Indianapolis, Long Beach and Newark.  Emphasis is
on Maintenance and, Performance Improvement of Solid Fuel Combustion
Power equipment – Boilers and Turbines.  

Early/mid-career positions with recognized industry leader; career path leads to
regional responsibilities with organization expanding internationally and
domestically.  

The organization is seeking fresh approaches to support the growth and the
growth of the industry, so ability to express opinions/ implement good decisions
is also key.  The Plant Engineer is a member of Senior Plant Management.

Qualifications:

Minimum 4 years’ related experience, demonstrably solid understanding of
energy production at Plant Solid Fuel Boiler and Steam Turbine operations
Preference for more senior candidates with EfW Plant Operation experience, BS
Engineering.

Biomass to Energy Vector
Senior Power Plant Senior Process Engineer sought by well-reviewed US-
based Energy from Waste plant operations employer to be based at their greater
Philadelphia operations location. Corporate position, reporting to Manager of
Process Engineering, with local and regional responsibilities, identifying
engineered solutions to operational issues at municipal landfill power plants.

Seeking degreed Engineer with minimum 5 years’ related experience
to improve combustion controls, contributing to boiler stability, plant production
and environmental performance as part of the Process Team, advancing the
overall combustion control philosophy, evaluating controls and hydraulic system
upgrades, SNCR systems, combustion air systems, modernization of stokers,
grates and boilers.

Requires:

  • Developed Mechanical Equipment background
  • Process knowledge of equipment functions
  • Instrumentation/Controls background with controller tuning skills

Senior Director of Project Planning sought by major NE USA-based Waste
to Energy Plant Operator to set design parameters for US and overseas
Energy from Waste (EfW) facilities,
providing power and recyclable metals.  The
position is available immediately and relocation to headquarters (HQ residence is
required) available.

The position is a career signature possibility and an opportunity to shape the
future of WtE operations, requiring technical skills, extensive related experience
and the ability to form and shape matrix teams for small to large engineering and
construction projects assessing new project feasibility and improving plant
performance. Emphasis is on aligning technical parameters of new facilities with
practical scopes of work that can be readily executed and operated safely as
designed.

Candidate should be a FEED veteran, with history of membership on Business
Development teams, developing proposals, performing preliminary calculations
and rendering technical guidance, providing coordination with outside contractors
and setting overall strategy for the successful execution of projects.

Qualifications include:

•        BS in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering
•        10+ years' experience and knowledge in design, construction and operation of process industries required; knowledge/
       experience in Energy from Waste (EfW) and process safety preferred
•        Specifying, evaluating and implementing waste handling, combustion, air pollution control rotating equipment and ash
       handling systems.
•        Knowledge of Steam Cycles, Permitting, Plan Configurations and Option Evaluations, P&I and Process Development
•        PE preferred
